BioMy name is Victoria. I live in Cardiff (with a very lovely man who I will soon be marrying) but come originally from Cornwall. I have a fairly meh sort of job at a university, but I hate it much less than the others I have had, which is definitely...something. I have an MRes in Elizabethan Jacobean Revenge Tragedy which was fun, but is fairly impractical if I'm honest. About four years ago, the house/street I lived in at the time was in an episode of Dr Who, which ranks quite highly on the list of "Cool Things That Have Happened To Me".
I like wine a lot and I like cooking and eating even more. I do tedious running related activities fairly often, not for fun, but so I can eat even more lovely food. I have discovered recently that planning a wedding is not stressful, but incredibly good fun, and that when I grow up, whatever job I am going to do will have the word "wedding" in front of it, as that seems to be a damn good way to make money! I love reading, and I just tried to do a 'Top 5' books and failed miserably, but I do love Neil Gaiman, Scarlett Thomas , Rafaella Barker, Joanne Harris, Kate Muir and Iain Banks. Love music too, but don't even get me started on my favourites there.
My journal is a mix of public, friends only and private entries, depending on how, um, paranoid I am feeling at the time. I'm happy to add anyone who would like to be added, as long as I think we could have something to talk about, so just leave me a comment etc etc.
